Dolpa is situated in Mid-western region of Karnali zone in Nepal. It is the biggest district of Nepal which covers the area of 7,889 km sq. (5.36%). It has an Airport named as Dolpa Airport which is only quality way of transportation. Road transportation is not yet developed in this area therefore airways is the best way to travel Dolpa.
Shey Phoksundo National Park is one of the Nepal’s popular parks. Some endangered animals like Snow leopard, Musk of deer and Tibetan wolf, Ghoral, Blue sheep are found here. Yarsagumba or Yarchagumba is a rare and unique herb that grows in the meadows above 3,500 metres (11,483 feet) in the Himalayan region of Nepal. Thousands of people visit Dolpa for the purpose of getting Yarshagumba. Trade of Yarsagumba is very famous in Dolpa.

Being located around Dhaulagiri Mountain (8167 m) and Churen Himal most of the tourist visit here for the experience of trekking. Buddhist monasteries are very famous for tourism. Usual trekking in this region begins from Juphal then follows to Dunai and continues to Tarakot where it ends up to Bangala Camp (uppermost point of Dolpa trekking).
