According to the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Nepal, ‘Shey Phoksundo national park is Nepal’s largest National Park with an area of 3555 km2’. The national park is another reason for such wide popularity of Phoksundo lake. Shey Phoksundo National Park is popular for having a number of Buddhist monasteries and sacred spots.
